Description
There are two pairs of piers with linking walls at the entrance to the drive leading to Myerscough Hall, dating from the mid-18th century. The piers are made of rusticated sandstone ashlar. The two outer piers are square in shape and feature dentilled cornices, with an Ionic pilaster attached to the west side of each. Curved walls constructed from squared sandstone blocks with copings connect the outer piers to the inner piers, which are positioned on either side of the drive. The inner piers are also rusticated, square in plan, and topped with pyramidal caps.
