Description
This building is a barn and shippon, likely dating from the mid to late 18th century, and has been altered. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and features stone slate roofs. The structure consists of two rectangular blocks aligned on an east-west axis, with the shippon range attached to the southeast corner of the barn.
The barn has three bays, featuring an altered wagon doorway in the first bay, a loading door above this, a doorway in the center bay, and a diamond-pattern breather in the third bay. On the north side, there is a central wagon doorway sheltered by a shallow porch with splayed cheeks and a roof that extends down. The shippon range to the right is two stories high, with four doorways on the ground floor, all except the third having stable doors. There are also two loading doors on the first floor, positioned slightly to the left of the first and third doors below, and a small six-pane fixed window at the right-hand end.
Inside, the barn retains original wooden stalls and other features.
