Description
Rams Head is a public house, originally known as Ram Inn, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features a slate roof with gable chimney stacks. The building has a double depth, three-bay plan and stands three storeys tall with a symmetrical façade. The entrance includes a round-headed doorway with a plain surround and a fanlight above. The windows are horned sashed without glazing bars, with straight sills and heads; all except the central windows are coupled with a central square mullion, and the top floor windows are shorter. The rear of the building has altered masonry and openings but retains some coupled boxed sashed windows. Inside, the original four-room plan is preserved, featuring some wall settle seating.
