Description

This is a row of three cottages dating to approximately 1800. They are constructed of watershot coursed sandstone with quoins to the rear corners, although the return walls and parts of the rear wall are now rendered. The roof is covered in stone slate and features two chimneys on the ridge and one at the right gable. The cottages have a double-depth plan, each being one bay wide. Each cottage has a plain doorway on the left-hand side and a stepped triple-light window on each floor. Number 24 has two first-floor windows. The windows are slightly irregular in size and disposition. The left return wall contains a two-light flush mullion window at ground floor, with remnants of a three-light window above, where the outer lights have been blocked. The rear of Number 24 has two three-light windows at the first floor.
