Snow Hill House And Snow Hill Studio

A 17th-century house and shop, originally listed as "Snow Hill", with a later addition, Snow Hill Studio. The building is constructed of slobbered rubble with a stone slate roof and extends over two and three storeys, with an attic. The windows are mullioned, featuring an outer chamfer and mostly an inner cyma moulding. Snow Hill Studio, on the left side, is a three-storey, single-bay structure. It has a three-light window on the ground floor, and four-light windows on the first and second floors, each with a hood. A chamfered stone surround frames the left-hand door. The ground floor of Snow Hill House aligns with the first-floor level of Snow Hill Studio. A five-light window, also with a hood, is located to the left of the porch. To the right is a reconstructed two-light window. On the first floor, two four-light windows are present, each with a hood. The main door, accessed by external stone steps and within a timber porch, has a chamfered stone surround. The right-hand (west) gable wall incorporates a single-light, chamfered window. A projecting stack is on the left-hand gable wall, with a one-light chamfered window with a segmental head to its right on both the first and second floors. Above these windows is a double-chamfered mullioned attic window with two lights, the left-hand light containing leaded glazing. Chimneys are situated on the gables and between the house and studio, with brick caps on the left-hand chimney and the chimney adjoining the studio.
