Description

A late 18th-century house and former shop, located on Main Street in Gisburn and later converted into a house (number 8). The building is constructed from rendered rubble with a stone slate roof. It has three storeys and three bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within plain stone surrounds. The right-hand bay features a shop front on the ground floor, while its first and second floor windows each have two sashes separated by a central square mullion. A doorway, also with a plain stone surround, is positioned between bays one and two. Chimneys are present on the gables and between bays one and two, with brick caps except for the chimney on the left.
