Description
This listing describes a pair of gate piers located approximately 40 metres north of the Observatory pond in Aighton, Bailey & Stonyhurst, dating from around 1700 or derived from that period. The piers are constructed from sandstone ashlar and have a square section. They feature broken segmental pediments adorned with urns and festoons.
