Description

A row of four houses, numbered 10 to 13, and dating from the early 19th century, form part of Church Lane in Whalley. The houses are constructed from sandstone rubble and have slate roofs. They are two storeys high, with each house originally consisting of one bay. Numbers 11, 12, and 13 have modern windows with simple stone surrounds. The doorways are positioned to the left of number 13, to the right of number 12, and to the left of number 11, all similarly treated with plain stone surrounds. Number 10 has modern, two-light windows with glazing bars, stone surrounds, and central flat-faced mullions. A small window with plain reveals sits to the left of the front door, which itself has a plain stone surround. Chimneys are located between numbers 12 and 13, and to the right of both numbers 11 and 10.
