Description

Poole House is a mid 19th-century house located in Whalley, on The Square. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are framed with chamfered stone surrounds and have moulded hoods, with an inner hollow chamfer. Most windows are of two lights, except for the middle window on the first floor, which has one light. The mullion has been removed from the left-hand ground-floor window. The central bay contains a door that has a chamfered stone surround with a Tudor-arched head and a moulded hood. The house has coped gables and a chimney on the left-hand gable.
