Description
The Old Building of Clitheroe Royal Grammar School for Boys, dating from the 18th century, is a two-storey structure built of stone. It features a moulded stone eaves cornice with modillions and a slate roof with stone-coped gable ends. The building has stone rusticated quoins and a stone plinth. The central doorway is topped with a pediment supported by consoles above grooved brackets and includes a rectangular fanlight. There are four windows on the ground floor and five above, all with plain stone surrounds and later glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 11 to 23 (odd) and Stanworth House.
