Description
This is a low sandstone ashlar wall located on the north-east side of a playing field, extending 70 metres along the south-east side and featuring a pair of gate piers. The wall dates from the 19th century and is topped by cast iron railings, which are a replica of those connecting two garden pavilions. The railings are designed with shaped fluted piers and barleysugar detailing. The sandstone gate piers are square in section, adorned with dentilled cornices and finials, with the north-eastern pier still retaining its ball finial.
