Description

Cross Gills Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building features a double-pile central-entry plan with end stacks and stands two storeys high with three bays. The stonework includes projecting quoins, a string course, and a plinth. The windows have plain stone surrounds with square mullions; all windows are three lights except for the central window above the front door, which has two lights. The door is framed by a stone architrave. At the rear, a stair window above a later extension has a plain stone surround with a transom and mullion.
