Description
The Red Lion is a public house built in 1791 and later heightened in the 19th century. It is constructed of stone and features a slate roof with stone coping, kneelers, and gutter corbels. The building stands three storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are two 4-light 18th-century stone mullion windows flanking a 3-light window, along with a similar 2-light window on the first floor. The second floor has three 19th-century sash windows, with the outer ones consisting of 2 lights each. The doorway is located off-centre to the right and has rusticated jambs with an elaborate carved head above it, featuring a pedestal with a reclining lion.
