Description

Colne Waterside Bridge is an early 19th-century stone bridge featuring a single span segmental arch made of voussoirs. The bridge has a band and a parapet with coping that rises above the arch. Inscribed lettering on the roadside of the parapet reads "CC Colne Waterside Bridge." The parapet extends as a boundary wall on both sides. Some repairs have been made using dressed stone blocks. The roadway is paved with stone setts, and there is a flagged path on one side. A bridge has been recorded at this location since 1323.
