Description
Emmott Hall Cottage is a building that was originally stables, now converted to residential use. It dates back to 1737 and was built for Emmott Hall, which has since been demolished. The structure is made of dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It has a U-shaped plan with gabled wings, each adorned with moulded kneelers and saddlestones that support finials.
The upper floor windows are square and were originally designed with two lights, but now lack mullions except for those on the right return wall. The front windows have dripstones. On the ground floor, there is one six-light square mullion window and a door that features a decorated lintel. The left gable end has been significantly altered but still retains an oval window above the upper window.
