Description
This farm building, located on the north side of the farmyard and approximately 20 metres west of Catshaw Hall, likely dates from the late 17th century and may have originally served as a pigsty and henhouse. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building is single storey. The south wall has two adjacent doorways near the center of the facade, each with a surround that has a chamfer extending across the face of the lintel to create a triangular shape. Additionally, under the apex of the west gable, there is a small chamfered opening with a flagstone projecting beneath it to serve as a perch.
