Description
Keepers Cottage is a house built in 1770, constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. It has a double-depth plan, stands two storeys high, and features two bays. The windows are framed with stone surrounds that have a slight chamfer, although the central mullions have been removed. The door, located between the bays, is set within a plain stone surround and is sheltered by an open gabled porch. Above the door is an oval plaque inscribed with 'TC 1770'. The cottage has gable chimneys, and the rear wall includes some re-used rebated and chamfered window surrounds, including a tall stair window that has one transom.
