Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a house built in 1702, with alterations made around 1800. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and features a roof of stone slate, with slate at the rear. The building has a T-plan layout and stands 2½ storeys tall with five bays. The windows are sashed, consisting of four lower lights and two upper lights, all with plain stone surrounds. The attic storey includes four windows that have glazing bars and chamfered surrounds.
There is a porch located in the third bay, which has a parapet with a plain band and a door with a plain stone surround. Inside the porch, there is another door with a moulded surround and a shaped lintel inscribed with 'CHA 1702'. Some dressings from blocked mullioned windows can still be seen in the wall. The house has end chimneys, and the rear wing retains some mullioned windows in its north wall. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
