Description
Gresgarth Lodge is an early 19th-century lodge built in the Gothick style. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with a roof covered in stone slates and carved bargeboards. The lodge is one-and-a-half storeys high with two bays, featuring a central gabled porch also adorned with carved bargeboards. The windows have plain reveals and pointed heads, with glazing bars arranged in a Y-tracery pattern. The window on the right-hand side has four small panes below the head, while the left-hand window is now a single pane. The porch doorway has a hollow-chamfered stone surround and a pointed head. Above the doorway is a carved stone loophole. A chimney is located to the left of the porch, set back behind the ridge. The left-hand (north) gable wall has a window on each floor, both with plain reveals and pointed heads. It is situated near C.F. Oak Cottage on Quernmore Road.
