Description
This building is a barn and shippons, likely dating from around 1800, with remnants of a late 17th-century house. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. The left side of the building features a wide entrance with a segmental arch, flanked by doors that have long-and-short jambs. Further to the right, there is a two-storey bay with windows that include glazing bars and plain reveals. The earlier section of the barn, located to the right beyond a straight joint, has a rebated and chamfered window surround where the central mullion has been removed. Next to this is another door with long-and-short jambs, and to the left is a door with a chamfered surround and a triangular head. On the first floor, there is a window with glazing bars set within an enlarged rebated and chamfered surround, and to the right, there is a pitching hole. A chimney with a chamfered surround is positioned to the left of the door.
