Description
Gornalls Farmhouse is a house built in 1730, constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, featuring two bays. The windows have chamfered surrounds, although the original three-light mullions have been removed. The door, located between the bays, is framed with a moulded architrave and has a lintel inscribed with 'WGI 1730'. Above the door, there are shaped brackets that once supported a hood, which is now missing. The farmhouse has gable chimneys with weathered tabling. Inside, there is a built-in court cupboard that is inscribed with '1678 GIE'.
