Description
99 King Street is a coach house that has been converted into an office. It dates from around 1800 and was altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed from sandstone ashlar, with ashlar dressings, while the side and rear walls are made of random rubble, partly rendered. It features a slate roof and has a single-cell plan with a later full-depth rear extension. The structure is two storeys high and has two unequal bays. The wider first bay originally had a waggon entrance, which has been converted into a window. This window has a semi-elliptical arch with a plain keystoned architrave and impost blocks that extend as a band on either side. The second bay contains a square-headed doorway with a similar architrave and a glazed door from around 1980. Above each opening is a window with plain reveals; the left-hand window is taller than the right, and both have glazing bars and top-hung casements. The building is included for its group value.
