Description
The Vicarage, dating from the late 17th century and altered in the mid-18th century, is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of three bays. The windows are framed with stone surrounds that have a shallow cyma moulding and moulded sills. Most windows are sashed without glazing bars, except for the central window on the first floor, which retains its glazing bars, as does the upper sash of the adjacent window to the left.
The central porch is single-storey and gabled, featuring a door with an eared architrave and a triangular pediment, with the word 'SALVE' inscribed on the frieze. To the right of the porch is a blocked 17th-century doorway, which has a cyma surround and a shaped lintel, likely revealed after the removal of 18th-century rendering. To the left of the main house is an addition that has a first-floor sashed window with glazing bars and a surround similar to those on the main facade. Next to this is a small window with plain reveals. On the ground floor, there are two modern windows with plain reveals. The gables feature copings with kneelers, and chimneys are located on the gables and between the main house and the addition.
