Description
Nos. 13, 15, and 17 Sun Street is a terrace of three houses, now mostly used as offices, built around 1800 and altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The buildings are constructed of sandstone ashlar in narrow courses, with rubble on the sides and rear, and feature slate roofs. They have a double-depth plan with the doorways of Nos. 13 and 15 linked together, while No. 17 has its doorway to the left. Gable chimney stacks are located to the left of No. 13 and to the right of Nos. 15 and 17, with rear extensions to the right of each house. The terrace stands three storeys above cellars, with one bay for each house. The doorways have plain surrounds, and the windows have plain reveals. Nos. 13 and 15 feature glazing bar sashes, except for the ground-floor window of No. 13, which has had the bars removed from the lower sash. No. 17 has a ground-floor sash without glazing bars, a sashed window on the first floor, and a 20th-century casement on the second floor. Each door has six raised and fielded panels.
