Description
19 and 21 Sun Street are a pair of small houses, now used as offices, dating from around 1800. They have been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The buildings are constructed of sandstone ashlar in narrow courses, with rubble at the rear, and feature slate roofs. They have a double-depth plan with linked doorways in the center, gable chimney stacks, and small rear extensions on both sides. The houses are three storeys tall above cellars, with one bay each. The doorways have plain surrounds, while the windows have plain reveals. The windows in No.21 feature 16-pane sashes, whereas No.19 has 20th-century windows, including UPVC casements on the first and second floors. The door to No.21 has six raised and fielded panels.
