Description
No. 14 New Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of sandstone ashlar and has a slate roof. It features a double-depth plan with a large extension at the back. The structure has three storeys and three bays. The ground floor now has a mid-20th century shop front. The windows are sash type without glazing bars, set in painted stone surrounds with sill bands. The lintels above the second-floor windows continue as a band across the façade. There is a moulded eaves cornice behind later guttering, and a chimney is located on the right side. Inside, there is a staircase to the left of the original rear.
