Description

No. 17 New Street is a shop building from the mid-19th century that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone and features a slate roof. The building has three storeys and consists of one bay. The ground floor displays an early 20th-century shop front, while a late 20th-century archway has been added to the left-hand gable wall. The upper windows are adorned with sill bands, 20th-century casements, and painted stone surrounds. A stone cornice runs along the top, and there is a chimney on the left side. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
