Description

19 and 21 New Street is a former pair of houses that have been converted into a shop. The building dates from around 1800 and has undergone alterations in the late 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared coursed sandstone and features slate roofs. The structure stands three storeys high and has four bays. The ground floor has 20th-century timber shop fronts that include some Tuscan pilasters, which likely date to the 19th century. The upper windows are sash windows without glazing bars, except for the upper sashes of the top left windows, all set within painted stone surrounds.
