Description

The barn adjoining to the south-west of the stables at Borwick Hall, along with Nos 1 and 2 Borwick Hall Cottages, dates from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble and has a slate roof. Each side features three rows of chamfered ventilation slits made of dressed sandstone. The north-west wall, which faces the road, includes a door with plain reveals at the left end and a wide entrance on the right, featuring chamfered jambs, a chamfered timber lintel, and a projecting slated canopy. The south-east wall has a later lean-to addition, which includes a wide opening with chamfered jambs and a concrete lintel on the left. Internally, little of the original 17th-century structure remains.
