Description

SD 57 SW BORWICK BORWICK LANE

4/45 Barn adjoining to south-west of the Stables at Borwick Hall, and Nos 1 and 2 Borwick Hall Cottages 4.10. 1967 (formerly listed as Nos 1 and 2 Borwick G.V. Hall Cottages) II Barn, with south-western end now converted into 2 houses, C17th. Rubble with slate roof. All sides have 3 rows of chamfered ventilation slits of dressed sandstone. North-west wall, facing the road, has a door with plain reveals at the left-hand end and a wide entrance towards the right, with chamfered jambs, a chamfered timber lintel, and projecting slated canopy. The south- east wall has a later lean-to addition, with a wide opening with chamfered jambs and concrete lintel to the left. Internally little of C17th date remains.
