Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses, now converted into flats, located on Queen Street in Lancaster. The buildings are constructed of sandstone ashlar with a slate roof and gable stacks. They are three storeys high with a basement, and four bays wide, finished with an eaves cornice. The windows have simple reveals and sills, creating a horizontal band on the second floor. The sash windows are modern replacements but retain glazing bars. A central feature consists of doorways, set three plain steps above ground level, linked together under a simple cornice supported by two panelled consoles. A doorway on the far left provides access to the rear yard. Chimneys are positioned on the left and right sides of the building.
