Description
This is an early 19th-century house located on Queen Street, Lancaster. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar with a slate roof and a gable stack on the right. The house is three storeys high, with a basement, and is two bays wide, featuring an eaves cornice. The windows have plain reveals and sills which create a band on the second floor. The doorway, positioned on the left and accessed by three plain steps, has a simple cornice supported on two panelled consoles. The 20th-century glazed door replaced an earlier version. The windows are also 20th-century, with horizontally divided casements designed to resemble sash windows with simulated glazing bars. A chimney is situated to the right.
