Description
Knuzden Hall Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered and extended at the right end to connect with the now unoccupied Knuzden Hall. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof with gable copings and kneelers on the left side, along with three brick chimneys. The building has an L-shaped plan, consisting of three bays with a later rear wing added to the first bay.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a symmetrical appearance, although the details are not uniform. In the center, there is a high single-storey gabled porch, with the ridge at eaves level, featuring stone gable coping and a boarded door set in a segmental-headed opening. The inner doorway has a chamfered surround. The fenestration is very irregular and mostly altered, including a six-light double-chamfered stone mullion window with an inserted king mullion located to the left of the porch. The rear of the building has a blocked chamfered doorway, a 19th-century doorway, and remnants of a double chamfered stone mullion window, which is now partly covered by the rear of the Hall.
