Description
A pair of townhouses built in the mid-19th century, located on Queen Street, Lytham. The houses are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with sandstone dressings and a slate roof. They are arranged with a double-depth plan, each house having a single-fronted facade and coupled rear extensions. Each house has two storeys and a two-plus-two window arrangement. A first-floor sill band, a plain frieze, and a moulded gutter cornice run along the top of the facade. Doorways are located on the right-hand side, featuring pilastered architraves and panelled doors with overlights. Stone canted bay windows are present at ground level, complete with cornices and blocking courses. The first-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars and margin panes. Ridge chimneys are visible. The buildings contribute to a group alongside numbers 4 and 3 Queen Street, and are in keeping with number 7 to the right (which is not included in the listing).
