Description
The former canal bridge, built in the 1790s, spans the course of a former branch canal that connected Walton Summit to Johnson's Hillock. This bridge was originally part of the Lancaster Canal South End. It is constructed of stone and features an elliptical arch with a keystone. The bridge has slightly curved retaining walls that include bands and parapets topped with rounded copings.
