Description
The building at Barretts House Farm includes a barn, stables, granary, and other structures, likely dating from around 1700 and altered over time. It is constructed from handmade brick and features stone slate roofs. The layout consists of two ranges that join at right angles, with the barn located on the south side and other elements on the east. The barn is a long structure with a wagon entrance near the junction, which has a segmental wooden lintel. To the right of this entrance are diamond pattern breathers and a round pitching hole, along with various ground floor openings. The eastern range features a door flanked by windows, two round pitching holes above, and an inserted garage door to the left with a sliding sash window above it. The north gable facing the road has external steps leading to a loft door. This building is included for its group value.
