Description

Nos. 4, 6, and 8 Dugdale Street are three small town houses that were built around 1850 and are now used as offices. They are constructed from watershot coursed sandstone blocks and feature a slate roof. Each house is likely single-depth and single-fronted, standing three storeys tall over cellars, with a total of five window openings. The cellar openings are blocked, and the doorway to No. 4 is located on the left, while the doorways to Nos. 6 and 8 are coupled together. All doorways have plain monolith surrounds and internal steps. The windows have raised sills, plain surrounds, and altered glazing, with the central window on the first floor set in the lower of two blocked doorways that seem to have been loading doors. The interiors have not been inspected. These houses form a group with Nos. 10, 12, and 14 to the right, and with Nos. 5-9 and 11-13A Nicholas Street at the rear, contributing to an interesting block of late Georgian town housing.
