Description
Woodlands is a house located on Atherton Road in Hindley. It was built in the late 18th century, with a 19th-century addition. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof. The house is two storeys tall and has a three-bay front with an extension to the rear right that has two bays. It has a stone base and cornice. The windows have gauged-brick flat arches and are sashed with glazing bars. The entrance features an elliptical porch with a hipped roof, a timber bracketed canopy, and a 20th-century door. There are lateral stacks on the roof. The right side of the house has painted blind windows and an extension that has a hipped stone slate roof and segmental-headed windows.
