Description
Manor House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1730, as indicated by the inscription "J.C.1730" on the rainwater head. The building is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. It has a three-bay, three-storey central-staircase layout, with an additional fourth bay added later. The central entrance door is flanked by Ionic half-columns and has a plain entablature. The ground floor has four-pane sash windows set under flat brick arches, while the first floor features twelve-pane flush sash windows and the second floor has eight-pane casements. The left gable was rebuilt in the 20th century. The fourth bay includes a door to the left under a cambered brick arch, a paired sash window on the ground floor, a double sash window on the first floor, and a wide casement on the second floor. The farmhouse has three ridge chimney stacks and various casement windows at the rear, including a large stair window. Inside, there is a staircase with a swept moulded rail, turned balusters on a cut string, and turned newels. The interior also features fielded dado panelling and six-panel doors with H hinges.
