Description

White House Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1733, as indicated by the datestone, with later extensions. It is constructed from dressed sandstone, which is now whitewashed, and features a brick gable wall on the right side. The roof is made of pantiles and has brick stacks. Originally, the building had a two-cell, gable-entry plan, but it has been extended to the right, with a rear outshut added.

The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a three-window front. There is a 20th-century glazed door set in stone with a gabled porch located to the right of the centre. To the left of the door are two large-pane, horizontal sliding sash windows, while a similar two-light window is on the right, accompanied by a 20th-century casement window at the far right. The first floor features three horizontal sliding sash windows. All windows are equipped with stone sills, and the ground floor windows have heavy milled lintels. A date stone inscribed "J A W" is positioned between the upper left and centre windows, displaying the year "1733."

Inside, there is a tongue-stopped chamfered beam between the rooms on the left and a chamfered axial beam in the centre room.
