Description

This is a house located to the north of the Post Office in Wombleton, dating from the early 19th century with a later extension. The building is constructed of dressed limestone, while the extension is made of brick, topped with a pantile roof and featuring brick stacks. The house has a central stairhall plan, is one and a half rooms deep, and includes a rear service wing. The front is symmetrical with two windows and has a central six-panel door that is positioned beneath a rectangular divided fanlight. It features 16-pane sash windows with stone sills throughout, and heavy milled lintels are present as well. The gables are coped and have shaped kneelers, and there are stacks at each end of the house.
