Description

Tilehouse Bridge is a bridge dating from the mid 13th century, constructed of dressed sandstone. It features a single span with a semi-circular arch made of voussoirs that spring from square abutments. Above the arch, there is a moulded band consisting of two stone courses. The bridge has a plain parapet with cambered coping, which ends in low square section piers, of which only one retains its original shallow pyramidal top.
