Description
Moss Cottage, also known as The Beech, is a late 18th-century building that includes No. 1 Kenilworth Road. Originally two houses, it has been converted into one. The structure is made of rendered brick and features a 20th-century tile roof along with a stone extension. It has a double-depth central entrance plan and stands two storeys high. The cottage is attached on the right side and includes a gable entrance with a 20th-century extension at the rear. The central entrance has a six-panel door with an architrave surround and a pediment above it. There are two windows on each floor, all with stone sills, featuring 16-pane sash windows, and a blank window is located above the door. The building is adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice and has gable stacks. Additionally, the cottage features a re-used door surround.
