Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the north-east side of Longdendale Old Road. It is built of hammer-dressed stone with a roof of graduated stone slates. The house has a double-depth central-staircase plan and three storeys, with a small wing attached to the left gable. The central entrance door has a square-cut surround. Each floor features two 3-light recessed mullion windows with flat faces. There are gable chimney stacks and shaped stone eaves gutter brackets. Two casement windows and two 2-light recessed mullion windows are present on the right gable. The left wing has a 16-pane sash window above an inserted garage door, and its roof is covered in 20th-century tiles.
