Description

The bridge south of Ironbridge Cottage is a Grade II listed structure built in 1805, as indicated on the keystone. It spans a drainage ditch, which was originally intended to function as a mill race. The bridge is constructed from dressed and rock-faced stone. It features a segmental keystone arch on one side and a flat lintel on the other. The arch is flanked by square projections. The parapet wall has a projecting band and coping, and it is finished with scroll-shaped posts at either end.
