Description

Marple Bridge is a bridge built in the 19th century, which was widened in the 1930s. It is constructed of dressed stone and features one large segmental arch that was expanded to the north. The bridge has a segmental arch and a band, along with a plain parapet that includes a band, chamfered coping, and square terminating piers. The northern widening was designed to match the original structure, using ashlar and concrete.
