Description
This is a house located at 34 Hollins Lane, dating from the early 18th century, although the upper floor was likely added in the 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The house originally had a central door, which is now blocked, and has a 19th-century porch added to the right. To the left, there is a former carriage house and stables, which have been converted into a dining room.
The house has two rooms on each of its three floors, with two 3-light windows on each floor, all featuring flat-faced stone mullions and surrounds, as well as leaded lights. The windows on the second floor include transoms and small gables above them. The later porch has a 20th-century tile hipped roof. There are gable stacks present, and the right gable is part of a 19th-century wing that no longer exists. The carriage house includes a blocked carriage entry. At the rear, there is a 20th-century door and window on the ground floor, along with two 2-light timber mullion and transom windows on the first and second floors, and two small gables above with vents.
