Description

Nos 78 and 80 Churchgate are early 19th-century buildings that stand four storeys tall and are constructed of brick. They feature a modillion eaves cornice and have five windows, with one of three lights on the left side of each floor. The buildings have two doorcases, each with attached columns and open pediments. The doors are fielded and sit beneath semi-circular fanlights. The entrance to No 80 is accessed by climbing eight steps, which are above a stone plinth. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 80 to 92 (even).
