Description

Otterspool Bridge is a road bridge over the River Goyt, built in the early 19th century and widened in the 20th century. It is constructed of red sandstone ashlar and features three segmental-arch spans with weathered triangular cutwaters. The arches are separated by square pilasters. A band runs along the base of the parapet walls, which have stone copings and are finished with square piers. The southern widening of the bridge uses the same materials and design, although it incorporates concrete arches.
