Description
Offerton Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse believed to date from around 1700, although it has been altered and expanded in the early 19th century. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has an irregular two-storey plan with a five-bay front, where the fifth bay projects and is of 19th-century origin, topped with a gable. The fourth bay also projects to a lesser extent.
On the ground floor, there are three and four-light mullion and transom casement windows, while the first floor features three two-light and two four-light windows, all with cambered brick arches and stone sills, dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. All windows have leaded casements. Some original window openings, which are now blocked, retain their flat brick arches. A later porch has been added to the third bay. The farmhouse has four large rebuilt chimney stacks.
The right elevation is symmetrical with three bays, featuring an advanced gabled central bay that includes a doorway, a brick band, and an arched recess within the gable.
