Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house on Sandy Lane. It is two storeys high and built of brick, with a slate roof which is hipped to the left side, featuring a single brick chimney stack. The front facade has three windows on the upper floor and two windows on the ground floor, all with glazing bars; one upper floor window has a fixed pane. Basement openings have been blocked. A stone doorway is flanked by attached Doric columns and topped with an open pediment. The door consists of four carved panels beneath a semi-circular fanlight. A modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, and there are two steps leading up to the entrance.
